Over 38 million affected in floods in China, 141 feared to be dead

Nearly 27 regions in China, including the provinces of Jiangxi, Anhui, Hubei, and Hunan, have been hit by heavy floods causing severe loss of property and lives. Nearly 38 million Chinese citizens have been affected by the floods while 141 are said to be dead or missing. More than 28,000 buildings have been destroyed in China and the estimated net loss is said to be 82.2 billion yuan ($11.7 billion).
