Over 69,500 new COVID-19 cases reported in 24 hours, India's tally crosses 28 lakh mark

As many as 69,652 new COVID-19 infections and 977 fatalities have been reported in the past 24 hours, India's tally cross 28 lakh while the death toll climbed to 53,866 on Thursday, said the Health Ministry. Out of the total cases, recoveries have surged to 20,96,664 with 58,794 more people recuperating in the past 24 hours, taking the recovery rate to nearly 73.91 per cent.
