Over 900 'defective' cases identified by CJI Ranjan Gogoi in Supreme Court

The Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi has identified over 900 cases at the supreme court as 'defective,' which have been piled up over the decade and can't be heard. As of July 2019, there are over 59.695 pending cases at the Apex court, out of which 13,563 are incomplete or not ready cases. Parties concerned have been given four weeks to cure the defects in their petitions, failing to attend will see the case as dismissed.
