A painting made by a Nigerian artist responsible for the "African Mona Lisa", was sold at an auction in London for £1.1 million on Tuesday. It happened after the family who originally owned it googled the signature by chance and realized the importance of the picture. "Christine", by 20th century master of African modernism Ben Enwonwu, was in Sitter's family home since it was painted in Lagos in 1971.
