Patients under Diabetes drug face increased risk of Covid complications: Study

According to researchers from Brigham and Women's Hospital in the US, Diabetes patients taking a particular class of glucose-lowering drugs called SGLT2i face an increased risk of complications related to the Covid-19 infection. As per the study, a condition called diabetic ketoacidosis can be encountered when illness prevents cells from receiving enough glucose to fuel their functioning. US FDA had also warned about the condition.
