People helping road accident victims in Jharkhand to be felicitated

In a welcome step, the Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand government has approved a Good Samaritan policy under which, people helping road accident victims and taking them to the hospital will be rewarded. Over 5,000 accidents are reported in the state every year. 3,366 road accidents and 2,294 deaths were recorded in 2020. Under the new policy, a person taking an accident victim to the hospital will get a reward amount of Rs. 2,000.
