"People value their privacy more than your money": Supreme Court pulls up Whatsapp on data sharing

The Supreme Court today asked Facebook-owned messaging platform Whatsapp to give an undertaking on oath that it does not share the private data of users with any third party. "People have grave concern about loss of privacy. You may be a two trillion or three trillion company, but people value their privacy more than your money. It's our duty to protect people's privacy," a three-judge bench headed by CJI S A Bobde said.
