Pfizer withdraws application for emergency use approval of its vaccine in India

Leading drug firm Pfizer has decided to withdraw its application for Emergency Use Authorisation of its COVID-19 vaccine in India. The firm took the decision after participating in the Subject Expert Committee meeting of the Drug Regulatory Authority of India on February 3. Pfizer understood that the regulator required additional information before giving the approval. The firm will resubmit its request with additional information.
