Pizza Hut co-founder Frank Carney passes away from pneumonia at 82

Frank Carney, who co-founded the Pizza Hut empire in Wichita, passed away Wednesday from pneumonia. Carney was 82. He was suffering from Alzheimer's for the past 10 years. Carney had also recently recovered from Covid. The businessman breathed his last at 4:30 a.m. at an assisted living facility in Wichita. He was a 19-year-old student at Wichita State University when he and his brother started a pizza business in 1958.
