A Delhi Court today refused to entertain a plea challenging the appointment of Gujarat-cadre Indian Police Services officer Rakesh Asthana as Delhi Police Commissioner. In the petition, the petitioner had sought the July 27 order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs appointing Mr. Asthana as the Delhi Police Commissioner to be quashed. The petition was dismissed by division bench of Chief Justice D.N Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh
