Newly appointed Airforce chief VR Chaudhari said Tuesday that the procurement of the proposed 114 Multi-Role Fighter Aircraft would be done under the Make in India initiative. A Request for Information was issued by the airforce in April 2019 for the acquisition of 114 jets at a cost of nearly $18 billion. "The project would be under the Make In India initiative...We are moving the case further," the Air Chief Marshal said.
