Human error has led to the overpayment of salary to an Australian public servant. The worker received $360,700 in his bank account instead of his salary of $3,582. He has returned the difference. The auditor general of Northern Territory, where the worker is from, has attributed the occurrence to an error in initial data entry and lack of vigilance. 743 of such cases have come to light between July 2017 and January 2018.
