Rajnath Singh invites farmers for talks on new farm laws amid massive protest

Amid the ongoing protest mainly by Punjab-based farmers against the newly passed farm laws, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has called them for talks. “I want to reassure the farmers of this country. They should end their agitation. I invite them for talks. I am the defence minister but I invite them as the son of a farmer. We can never cheat farmers," Mr Singh said. He assured that there will be an increase in farmers’ earnings.
