Ranjan Gogoi recommends Justice S A Bobde as the next Chief Justice

Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi is set to retire on November 17. Gogoi Friday sent a letter to the Centre and recommended Justice S A Bobde's name, who is the senior-most judge of the Supreme Court, for the next Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. According to official sources, the chief justice has gone by the convention to recommend the name of the next senior judger after him as his successor.
