Recruitment of children by terror groups increased amid Covid-19: India’s Foreign Secretary at UNSC

India’s Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla while speaking at the ‘UNSC Open Debate on Children and Armed Conflict’ virtually on Monday said that the "Covid-19 pandemic has further negatively impacted children in situations of armed conflict." He further said that the pandemic has hampered children's access to education, health and social services and their recruitment by terror groups has also increased.
