Professor J.S. Virdi, an eminent microbiologist and Chief of the Association of Microbiologists in India is hopeful that after the 21-day lockdown, when summer approaches, the rise in temperature would play an important role in preventing the outbreak of the novel coronavirus in India. Several virologists are hinting that by June this year, the impact of COVID-19 would be less than what it appears at present.
