In yet another incident of volcanic eruption in Indonesia, Mount Merapi, the country's most active volcano erupted Wednesday. Pictures of a river of lava flowing 1,500 meters down the slopes of the mountain were shared by the media. The lava was accompanied by clouds of gas. According to Hanik Humaida, Yogyakarta’s Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation Center chief, it was Mount Merapi’s longest lava flow since November.
