Rs. 1 lakh fine against 13 vehicles for polluting in Delhi

Since the Air Quality dipped in Delhi to severe levels, the authorities have adopted strict policies to counter the pollution. Going by the strict regulations, 13 vehicles that were visibly polluting the capital were issued a challan of Rs. 1 lakh each on Thursday. The challans were issued under a joint special drive by the transport department and DPCC. The authorities collected Rs 18 lakh under the Environment Protection Act.
