Sacked BSF constable Tej Bahadur Yadav appealed at the Supreme Court against the Allahabad High Court's order which dismissed his election petition against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Yadav challenged the validity of the judgment stated on 6th December. The HC dismissed his election petition on the ground having no locus and further for not being a registered voter nor the resident of the Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency.
