'Save Our Future': Several students hit streets to demand global climate action

Thousands of students, as well as workers, left their schools, colleges, and offices to hit the streets around the world and demand that world leaders take urgent action to avert an environmental catastrophe. The global strike, inspired by 16-year-old Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, kicked off in the Pacific Islands. It will culminate in New York when Thunberg will lead a rally at the UN headquarters.
