Scientists criticized Chinese CRISPR babies experiment as “unethical”

China recently conducted a controversial experiment on Chinese twins to make them HIV resistant. The experiment has caused outrage as the scientists have said that this experiment has failed to meet its goals and along with that it also ignored basic ethics. Chinese biophysicist He Jiankui attempted to use CRISPR DNA editing technology last year to CCR5 gene to immunize the twins- Lulu and Nana against HIV.
