Scientists explain how virus-carrying droplets disperse when infected people breathe

Amid rising number of coronavirus cases across the world, scientists have developed a new framework to understand the dispersion of droplets of different sizes which are ejected when people breathe. The study, published in the journal Physics of Fluids, used mathematical formulae to determine the maximum range of small, intermediate and large-sized droplets. The findings will help understand the spread of coronavirus.
