Scientists use the deadly Gympie-Gympie tree to develop painkillers

Australia is famous for having many of the world's most lethal flora & fauna. One of the most notorious plants is the Gympie-Gympie tree. Researchers are trying to produce painkillers from a pain causing plant, which are highly toxic & causes unbearable pain in humans. Researchers studied the toxins produced by 2 species of Australian stinging trees. They discovered a new toxin in these plants & named gympietides.
