Brinicles, sometimes called ice stalactites, are ice formations that grow from the ocean's surface to its depths. They seem like an underwater tornado and are most often created in the icy seas of Antarctica; they are only found in our planet's polar regions. The intriguing thing about brinicles is that they're structurally extremely sensitive, and even the tiniest touch can shatter them.
