It is normal ahead of the elections to pay nomination fee and file at the last minute but what an independent Tamil Nadu candidate did was something unusual. Kuppalji Devadoss, an independent candidate, who filed nomination for Chennai South parliamentary constituency and paid Rs 25000 but in coins, which grabbed the attention of the people. He came with 13 vessels filled with Rs 10, Rs 5, Rs 2 and Re 1 coins.
