Senior Indo-Canadian scientist Harpreet Kochhar named Canada’s Public Health Agency chief

Dr. Harpreet S Kochhar, a senior Indo-Canadian scientist, has been named the next President of the Public Health Agency. He currently serves as associate deputy minister of health. Mr. Kochhar will replace Iain Stewart. The announcement was made by PM Justin Trudeau who thanked Stewart for his service. Kochhar moved to Canada after completing his Bachelor’s and Master’s in veterinary science from Punjab Agricultural University.
