The effects of global warming are visible across the globe and the melting of glaciers in various parts of the globe is raising serious concerns for the environmental activists. In a similar incident, a massive chunk of an ice shelf has separated in Greenland, ringing the alarm bells. The chunk that is separated from the Arctic's largest remaining ice shelf has a length of 11 sq km. The chunk has broken away into several pieces.
