According to an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, dozens of people that are on a terrorist watch list of the probe agency were present in Washington when a violent mob stormed the US Capitol. The majority of these people included white supremacists that were included in the list due to their past conduct. The presence of the supremacists hinted at an apparent intelligence failure on the day.
