Sex hormone found in zebrafish gives new light to fertility treatment

A newly identified sex hormone in zebrafish can become a huge boost in better fertility treatment for humans, a new study says. With a single injection, Canadian researchers partially restored sexual function to genetically mutated zebrafish, enhancing the ability of the female to ovulate and lay her eggs. The key to the process is a protein-like molecule found in fish and it’s similar to that found in humans.
