Sexual assault cases in US military rising, tougher action needed: Defense Sec.

The acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan has decided to take tougher actions against the rising sexual assault cases in the US military after it was revealed in an annual Pentagon report that the number of harassment complaints in 2018 had risen from the past years. Assault cases against women and men both jumped by 13% in the previous year to 7,623 as compared to 2017. "This is unacceptable," Patrick said.
