JNU activist Sharjeel Imam, who was arrested under UAPA for his inflammatory speeches during the anti-CAA protests in the country, said in a court in Delhi that he is not a terrorist and his prosecution is a “whip of a monarch rather than a government established by law”. A case was filed against Imam after he called for cutting off Assam and the northeast from the rest of India in one of his speeches.
