Sikh doctor shaves off beard to perform frontline role in fight against Coronavirus

A 44-year-old Sikh doctor in Canada shaved off his beard for enabling himself to put on a protective face mask and get "more involved" in the battle against the novel coronavirus. Sanjeet Singh-Saluja, who is serving as associate chief of the department of emergency medicine at MUHC’s Montreal General&Victoria hospitals, said that wearing N95 mask is mandatory while treating COVID-19 patients, which he was unable to do with beard.
