Singapore Parliament passes law that will allow authorities to block internet content

A controversial law that is aimed at preventing intervention in domestic politics has been passed by the Singapore parliament. The law, Foreign Interference (Countermeasures) Act, will allow authorities to get internet content blocked by internet service providers and social media platforms. Under the controversial law, the Minister for Home Affairs will have the power to direct takedown of internet content.
