On Sunday evening, Elon Musk’s SpaceX launched a commercial satellite, Falcon 9, for Argentina from Vandenberg Air Force Base on California’s central coast at about 7:21 pm local time. After it was launched the first stage of the rocket returned to earth after 8 minutes. The second stage deployed SAOCOM 1A after the 12 minutes of launch. The safe return of the 1st stage is a part of a strategy to reduce launch costs.
