Moscow’s state-run Gamaleya research institute's chief Alexander Gintsburg has said that the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine offers immunity in some people nearly two weeks after they get the first shot of the vaccine. Gintsburg added that the second dose is required only to extend the immunity power. “If there is [an infection between the first and second shots], it will occur in a weaker form,” he said.
