This is for the first time in any Indian state that a squad of dogs was trained to detect the liquor consignment in Bihar. This has come 2 years after it was banned in the state. 20 canines were given 9 months of training in Hyderabad. These dog squads are handled by the CID. Vinay Kumar, additional director general of CID said it is the 1st state to have raised its own dog squad specialised to detect liquor.
