Stating clause, Center refuses RTI query about selection of RBI Governor

After Urjit Patel abruptly resigned as the Governor of the Reserve bank of India, Shaktikanta Das was appointed at his place on December 11, 2018. An RTI was filed seeking details about the appointment of Das, but the Center refused to share details citing a clause in the transparency law which prevents them from disclosing the information. Even the names of the short-listed candidates couldn't be disclosed.
