Student body urges Amit Shah to grant citizenship to 4,627 Chakma-Hajong people in Arunachal

Arunachal Pradesh Chakma Students Union, a body of Chakma students, has submitted a memorandum to Union home minister Amit Shah over the issue of citizenship to Chakma-Hajong people. The student body has requested Shah to grant citizenship to 4,627 Chakma-Hajong people in the state. The memorandum was submitted after the Centre authorised officials in 13 districts of different states to grant citizenship to refugees.
