Students’ unions criticized DU's move to ban loudspeakers within 100 mt of campus

In a recent move, the Delhi University has restricted the use of any use of loudspeakers, microphones, public address systems or firecrackers within the 100 meters of any educational blocks after declaring them as the ‘silence zones'. But the students and teachers’ unions have criticized the move as an effort to suppress the voices of protest. Proctor said that it is according to HC and NGT's directions.
