IIT-Delhi researchers say that India can save about 270000 lives annually by curbing emissions from dirty household fuels such as wood, dung, coal, kerosene. Household fuels are the single biggest source of outdoor air pollution. Eliminating emissions from these sources would bring the avg outdoor air pollution levels below the country's air quality std & mitigating the use could reduce air-pollution-related deaths by 13%.
