Coronavirus can remain infections on the face masks for a week and it can last for days on bank notes, plastic surfaces, stainless steel and other things. The researcher said that there’s a detectable level of infection on the outer layer of the surgical masks, and that is why it is important to not to touch the mask while wearing it. However, on the surface the concentration of the virus reduces rapidly.
