Plants make sound in stress or in pain which can be heard by mice and bats: Study

Recently research has figured out that plants can make sounds when they are deprived of water or are in a stressful situation but the same is not audible to human ears. The sound is at a low decibel and that is why it can be heard only by bats and mice. This study was conducted by Tel Aviv University which used tobacco and tomato plants which made sounds that could be recorded from a distance of 10 centimetres.
