A Supreme Court bench led by CJI SA Bobde today started hearing 144 petitions against the Citizenship Amendment Act. The court said that the act can't be reversed and refused to stay the exercise. The court, however, agreed to set up a constitution bench for hearing the petitions. The apex court also clubbed Assam and Tripura in one category. Kapil Sibal demanded that NPR should be postponed till CAA issue is resolved.
