The Supreme Court said that it was "not satisfied" with the action taken by the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government in connection with the Lakhimpur Kheri violence incident, in which 8 people including 4 farmers lost their lives. The top court said that a CBI investigation can't be the solution for the issue. The apex court also directed the state government to safeguard the evidence related to the violence.
