Tamil Nadu Forest Fire: 9 Dead, 30 rescued

One of the major forest fire broke out in Kurangini hills in Tamil Nadu on Sunday and took lives of 9 trekkers including 4 women, 4 men and a child. Reportedly, 30 have been rescued by the IAF while rescue operation is underway. CM Palaniswami and Defence Minister Sitharaman are monitoring the situation. Group of 25 women and 3 children were trapped in a fire while returning from a trek organised by the Chennai Trekking Club.
