Tamil Nadu Police resort to lathicharge to disperse over 100 CPM women protesting against liquor sales

Tamil Nadu Police on Friday resorted to lathi-charge to disperse the crowd gathered to protest against the reopening of the liquor shops amid coronavirus outbreak. In Madurai, over 100 women members of the Communist Party of India- Marxist (CPM) came out on the streets to protest against the opening of Tasmac outlets. Women raised slogans saying the opening of liquor shops was against the interest of the common man.
