TDP fights a solo battle in the elections in AP; first time in 37 years

TDP will contest the upcoming parliamentary & assembly elections on its own, a first since the party's inception 37 years ago. It will continue to work with the Congress at the national level. All the major parties are contesting independently for elections in AP. Andhra people still accuse Congress of dividing the state & not ranting special status. So, going solo was the only option & its a direct fight between YSR Congress & TDP.
