Tech giant IBM received a record of 9,262 patents in 2019 with India being the 2nd highest contributor after the US. IBM was granted patents across key technology areas such as AI, blockchain, cloud computing, quantum computing & security. Few filed Indian patents include infrastructure costs & benefits tracking, automation & validation of insurance claims for infrastructure risks and failures in computing environments.
