Term of extension of Bombay HC judge who ruled groping without skin to skin not sexual assault verdict, reduced

The term of extension of the Bombay High Court judge who landed into a controversy after ruling that groping without ‘skin to skin’ contact is not a sexual assault as defined under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act, has been reduced by one year by the centre. The Supreme Court Collegium has withdrawn the recommendation in which, it voiced for a permanent appointment for Justice Pushpa V Ganediwala.
