Acc to 'India Protection Quotient' survey, Chennai is the most insured city in India with 86% of people owning life insurance. This study was conducted by Max Life & Kantar IMRB in top 15 urban metros & Tier 1 cities. It studied their life & term insurance awareness, ownership & primary fears, preferences & triggers when purchasing policies. The report also states that Chennaites underestimate the cost of critical illness.
